St John Passion, sacral installation

All installations are made by hand at their site; neither lifts nor any lifting aids. Sufficient power must be set for the occasion.

St John Passion as sacred installation in Zurich’s landmark Grossmünster Cathedral - The St John Passion is the earliest today known “Passions of Bach”. These were premiered back in 1725 in Leipzig and the Bach Management Committee Zurich has chosen Grossmünster Cathredal in Zurich to show theses pieces with visual support. This show derogates from the customary kind of concert performance. It makes use of theatrical elements and of particular light. The Challenges for Winkler in an over 500 Year-old masonry is manifold. All installations are made by hand at their site; neither lifts nor any lifting aids. Sufficient power must be set for the occasion. The technique may not be visible to the public. Noise should be kept to the absolute minimum.
