Winkler’s «Sacre del Gottardo» wins bronze Famab Award.

Another award for the «Sacre del Gottardo» opening ceremony for the Gotthard Base Tunnel: together with Verein Portal Kunst 57, Winkler has been awarded a bronze Apple at the Famab Awards in the «Best Celebration» category. The Famab Award is an award for integrated brand experiences. It honours international benchmarks in the industry.
This latest accolade now represents the third award for the «Sacre del Gottardo». In May, Winkler and Verein Portal Kunst 57 received a golden Xaver Award, the Swiss prize for live communication. This was followed in the same month by a finalist diploma for the Golden Award of Montreux, and Winkler has now also won a bronze Apple at the Famab Awards in the «Best Celebration» category.

The opening of the Gotthard Base Tunnel in 2016 gained international recognition. Drawing its inspiration from Swiss Alpine myths and legends, an archaic story about nature, man and machine was staged featuring 600 actors. Winkler was behind the technology for the artistic performance, bringing the tunnel construction and legend of Gotthard vividly to life with multimedia video projections, sound and lighting. This once-in-a-lifetime project resulted in a fitting and dignified opening ceremony for guests, visitors, media and heads of state from around the world. A bold production that wowed the audience and received extensive worldwide media coverage.
