Winkler scoops Xaver Award for «Best Public Event & Show Entertainment» & «Best Supplier Services»

Winkler, in cooperation with Verein Portal Kunst 57, picked up the golden Xaver Award for the category «Best Public Event & Show Entertainment». It also won silver with its «Box-in-the-Box Concept» for the category «Best Supplier Services» along with Spillmann Echsle Architekten, MAAG Music & Arts, and Expomobilia.
The best events in the live communication industry were recognised with an Xaver Award yesterday evening. Winkler picked up two of the coveted awards in association with its staging of «Sacre del Gottardo» and its «Box-in-the-Box Concept».

«Sacre del Gottardo»
The opening of the Gotthard Base Tunnel cause a worldwide sensation in 2016. Inspired by legends, myths and tales from the Swiss mountains, an ancient story about nature, man and machine was staged at both ends of the tunnel involving 600 performers. It was a worthy opening celebration for the centennial project, fitting for the guests, visitors, media and government representatives from around the world. A brave production that touched everyone, the performance sparked a global media response.

«Box-in-the-Box Concept» – Halle 622
The empty «Industriehalle 622» warehouse had to be fully renovated in a refurbishment window of just four months. Originally built by ABB Switzerland, the hall was used for the production of high-voltage equipment until 2012.With 2,750m2 of floor space, Halle 622 is a perfect venue for trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, congresses, AGMs, gala dinners, company events, shows and concerts.
